Next on our Lonely Planet Rio Centro Walking Tour was the
Centro Cultural Justica Federal building. This building previously served as the headquarters of the supreme court is now a tourist attraction with art / photography exhibits, music, and a library. Two separate floors of contemporary art
and photography were on display.
This attraction was also free of charge.
I especially enjoyed a photography exhibit
"Bureaucratics" by Jan Banning of various government officials spanning 5 continents at their work desk. One man sat at a coffee table instead of a desk and had not been paid in months.
