Centro Cultural Justiça Federal, Rio Centro
Next on our Lonely Planet Rio Centro Walking Tour was the Centro Cultural Justica Federal building. This building previously served as the headquarters of the supreme court is now a tourist attraction with art / photography exhibits, music, and a library. Two separate floors of contemporary art and photography were on display. This attraction was also free of charge.
I especially enjoyed a photography exhibit "Bureaucratics" by Jan Banning of various government officials spanning 5 continents at their work desk. One man sat at a coffee table instead of a desk and had not been paid in months.
